The Trusts and Estates Committee is a substantive law Committee of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York which is designed as an educational forum to provide the membership with important and current information in the areas of Trusts and Estates. The Trusts and Estates Committee shall review present as well as pending changes in the law regarding estates and trusts, and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors and other Committees on substantive items regarding estates and trusts. The Committee shall work closely with the Legislative Committee in commenting on legislation of concern to it and will make recommendations to the Legislative Committee and Board of Directors on matters on which it desires to take a position. 

The Chair(s) of the Committee shall hold meetings throughout the fiscal year as needed as shall be available to present both written and oral reports on its activities to the Board of Directors as requested.

The Committee shall also make recommendations to various governmental agencies regarding present estates and trusts matters, after review by the Board of Directors of such recommendations.
